Wednesday, April 28th is Marco's Pizza Night to support Redwood Elementary!  Did you know that the winning classroom receives a coupon for a free cheesy bread AND the teacher receives a $25 amazon gift card for classroom supplies?

From Your Redwood PTA:

NIGHT OF LIGHTS 2021 Friday April 30th 8:00 – 9:30 PM Avon Lake Stadium

Redwood always finds a way and this event is no exception. When you cannot have Glow Walk inside, you have Night of Lights outside. Join us for a night of music, fitness, and fun walking and dancing around the track of the Avon Lake Stadium. We will practice all safety guidelines including social distancing and mandatory masks. Please feel free to bring your own glow gear to light up the night.

Admission is $5.00 per person. All ticket sales will be ONLINE ONLY – no tickets will be sold at the gate. Please note no refreshments will be served or can be brought into the stadium.  If the weather does not cooperate, event will not be rescheduled.

Parents/friends/family may all join their Redwood student(s) or drop off the night of the event.

Questions please contact Jenefer Machovina at jenefer.machovina@cunamutual.com or (216)272-0291.

See you there!!

**AS OF 4/23 - CONCRETE N MORE PATIO RAFFLE UPDATE**

We are nearing 50 entries for the Concrete N More Patio Raffle and are extending the deadline to Monday, April 26th! This is a great opportunity to support Redwood Elementary and win a nice patio or other concrete project for your home. Feel free to share this with your friends and family that are within a 15 mile radius of Avon Lake. Forms can be mailed/dropped off at Redwood or sent in with your child. If these options are not convenient, please reach out to me and Melissa Watkins would be happy to pick it up. Cash or check is accepted.

Reminder: The winner of the raffle will be announced at the Night of Lights event at the ALHS stadium on April 30th.

You Are Cordially Invited!

Join us for the AP Physics Pendulum Gala.

We are hosting a gala to raise funds and awareness for our Pendulum Project. Come learn about our multi-year project to advance the skills of AP Physics C students through engineering projects that will be installed as landmarks across the City of Avon Lake. We’ll share our accomplishments with you while you are entertained with dinner, music and raffles!

Learn what we are building.

We are working diligently to create a museum-quality Foucault Pendulum for the Avon Lake High School Library. Once we are done, our entire school system and the community will be able to see it. This feat of engineering will enhance our community’s understanding of science and hopefully inspire younger students.

Help invest in our future.

We need your help! If you would like to donate your money or your talents in business, marketing, or engineering to our project, we would love your support. Please feel free to send an email to (alhs.physics.c@gmail.com) to join the physics family.
