FBI/BCI Background Check
Background checks are done for employees of Avon Lake City Schools at the District Office located at 175 Avon Belden Road. An FBI/BCI costs $50.00 (FBI only $27.00 and a BCI only costs $23.00. We accept exact cash, credit card (convenience fee added), or check (payable to Avon Lake City Schools) for payment. Also, current staff members can pay through a payroll deduction for their renewal. Fee is waived for Avon Lake student workers under 21 years of age. If school is closed due to a calamity day, the District Office is also closed and you will need to reschedule your appointment. Appointments are scheduled every 30 minutes from 7:00 am - 3:00 pm on most Wednesday's throughout the year.
