More than two-hundred-eighty Avon Lake High School students participated in a variety of community service projects at eleven separate locations on May 21, 2026. Participating students rolled up their sleeves and worked together to make a positive impact throughout the community. A few of the service projects included reading with students at Artemus Ward Elementary School in Cleveland, sorting donated books at the Cleveland Kids' Book Bank, interacting with furry friends seeking a forever home at Friendship APL, organizing donations at Good Neighbor Thrift Store, and more. Thank you to all participating community partners and ALHS staff for their coordination and support to make this  student volunteer initiative a success! Congratulations to all participating students for their hard work and commitment to making a difference in their community and beyond.
