News - ALHS Dance Team Crowned State Champions

Congratulations to the Avon Lake High School Dance Team on claiming a state title at the recent OASSA state championship tournament held in Dayton during the weekend of February 7-8, 2026. The Shoregals were the top performers in the Game Day Medium category while earning an impressive second-place finish in the Contemporary/Lyrical Large and Jazz Large categories, in addition to placing fifth in the Pom Small competition. These outstanding accolades are the culmination of hours of practice, a fierce team-first mentality, and a commitment to excellence. Congratulations once again to our ALHS Dance Team members, advisors, and choreographers for their phenomenal success at this year's state tournament!
