News - Clue Comes to Life at Eastview Elementary School

Published on

Eastview Elementary students exercised their sleuthing skills in a school-wide themed mystery activity and contest based on the beloved classic board game, Clue. During this PBIS activity, which took place between October 24-30, teachers transformed into various Clue characters as they read hints over the PA system after morning announcements. Characters like Mrs. Peacock, Colonel Mustard, Ms. White, Miss Scarlett, Caroline the Archivist, and Wadsworth came to life thanks to their creativity. Each class formed a team and enjoyed the theme or activity of the day, starting off with the completion of one riddle and the submission of the answer before 12:30 P.M. The mysterious morning announcements included a puzzle, which the teachers discussed with their classes and worked to solve together. Answers were written on the CLUE Answer Sheet for the corresponding day and dropped off in the special box in the main office. Staff were invited to play along and were eligible to win prizes. Each day, the winning classes were announced with fanfare and prizes delivered in the afternoon. At the conclusion of the contest, one grand prize was awarded to all the winners. To finish off this exciting week, all students had the opportunity to participate in trick-or-treating on October 31st. This school-wide PBIS activity fostered a positive sense of community and further strengthened relationships between staff and students. Thank you to the Eastview PTA for decorating, providing prizes, placing items strategically around classrooms and other areas of the school to serve as part of the mystery adventure, and filling in as needed to make this an epic week for our students. Finally, thank you to our phenomenal staff members and PBIS team specifically for organizing this memorable and creative challenge for our school community!
