Students follow a Kodaly-based curriculum, focused on skill development to foster music literacy. Third graders work to improve partwork skills.

2nd Quarter

  • Rhythm: single eighth note and syncopation
  • Melody: Solfege syllable low la
  • Partwork: Partner song

3rd Quarter

  • Rhythm: paired sixteenth/eighth notes combinations
  • Melody: Low sol

4th Quarter

  • Rhythm: Dotted half note
  • Melody: High do
  • Meter: 3 meter
