Content Overview:  

Grade 5: Students will learn a variety of artistic techniques in drawing and painting, including color theory, and basic artistic concepts within the framework of various artistic styles.   

Grade 6:  Students will build on knowledge from 5th grade with an emphasis on increasing students’ scale of projects and freedom of creation and creativity.

Resources:  Flip charts utilizing pictures of various works of art, hands on demonstrations, and Drawing on the right side of the Brain.

Assessments:  Project Creation for each assignment.
