News - Elementary Students Participate in Young Entrepreneur Pitch Challenge

Avon Lake students at Redwood and Erieview Elementary Schools recently demonstrated their ingenuity and entrepreneurial skills during the Young Entrepreneur Institute’s Ohio Pitch Challenge. Open to K-12 students in Ohio, the competition features a simple set of activities that promote creativity, problem solving, critical thinking, and presentation skills. Participating students made engaging videos of themselves pitching their proposed product along with its unique features and practical benefits. Several Redwood and Erieview students made it to the Finalist and Semi-Finalist rounds and are listed below!

Students who advanced to the Finalist round won $60 and a chance to win the People’s Choice Grand Prize of $250, while all Semi-Finalists received a Pitch Challenge Champion Backpack Charm and the opportunity to apply to the Young Entrepreneur Fellowship.
