School Health Services
Corrine Taips – District Head Nurse (440) 933-8142, Ext. 2901
Here in the Avon Lake City School District, we are staffed by a School Health Specialist at our buildings with either a Registered Nurse or a Licensed Practical Nurse. They ensure that our students receive the highest level of quality care. Our School Health Specialists have years of experience working with patients of all ages, as well as training specific to our student population. To meet your child’s School Health Specialist, feel free to stop by the school clinic during clinic hours the next time you are at your child’s school.
We have nurses who support our medically fragile/technology dependent students who may require highly specialized nursing services. We also have a dedicated group of “as needed” or “float” nurses, who work diligently to provide care for our students throughout the District in any setting at any time, covering for staff during times of increased need, etc.
The School Health Team is comprised of professional, compassionate staff, and are here to assist your student, and family as needed.
