News - ALHS Drama Club Nominated for Several Dazzle Awards

The Avon Lake High School Drama Club recently joined prestigious company by receiving four nominations for their incredible performance of Anastasia: The Musical this past Spring, including categories for Best Ensemble/Chorus, Best Costume Design, Best Scenic Design, and Best Technical Execution. Modeled after the Tony Awards®, the Dazzle Awards recognize excellence in high school musical theater while celebrating the significant impact of musical theater and arts-education in Northeast Ohio. A curated panel of independent judges attends one performance of participating schools each year to provide instructive feedback and grant scores which are used to determine nominations in twelve different awards categories.
The 2025 Dazzle Awards Ceremony will take place on May 17, 2025, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the KeyBank State Theatre. Avon Lake will join a record breaking thirty-eight high schools from seven Northeast Ohio counties to be honored at the awards program.
