Congratulations to ALHS seniors Brody and Carter Athey, who were recently named finalists at the North Coast Rotary Speech Contest on February 24, 2026. The twin siblings demonstrated superb preparation and delivery during their respective remarks, with Carter elaborating on the theme of "living for the moment" while Brody focused his remarks on the topic of procrastination. Both students were previously in the Public Speaking class taught by Mr. Vince Marsala, where they learned about and volunteered to participate in the annual competition hosted by the North Coast Rotary Club. Mr. Marsala offered praise for both students, citing their continuous improvement and dedication to the craft of public speaking while praising their strong work ethic both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations, once again to Brody and Carter Athey on their outstanding achievement!
