Learwood News - Learwood Hosts 8th Grade Recognition Ceremony

Learwood Middle School celebrated the impressive accomplishments of the Class of 2029 at its annual Eighth Grade Recognition Ceremony in the Auditorium on Tuesday, June 4, 2025. Eighth grade students were recognized for a variety of academic, co-curricular, and athletic achievements, including members of the MATHCOUNTS team which took second place at the Ashland Chapter competition, Patriot’s Pen Essay scholarship recipients, and students who received all ‘A’ grades in each of the first seven quarters at Learwood! Recipients of the prestigious Archie Griffin Award were also recognized for demonstrating leadership, strong character, and excellence in both the classroom and athletics. The ceremony ended with a procession across the Auditorium stage by members of the Class of 2029 who were congratulated by Principal Dr. Vishtasp Nuggud.
