SALT Training Brings Teamwork and Leadership Coaching to Learwood

Learwood Middle School is partnering with Sharpen Skills Training to continue its legacy of fostering leadership and sharpening sportsmanship skills among dedicated student-athletes in grades seven and eight. Selected students recently completed two of the eight empowering sessions with facilitator, Kiersten. Session one targeted individual strengths, while session two explored different types of leadership skills. Students engaged openly about their abilities, areas that may need improvement, and made important discoveries about their personal growth in leadership and how they may align or differ from future aspirations. Coaches were also invited to participate in the program sessions.

On Saturday, March 29, members of the Learwood Middle School Band program participated in the Ohio Music Education Association District 4 Middle School Solo and Ensemble event at Lakewood High School. The following students earned Superior (I) and Excellent (II) ratings in their performances.
