Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year at Learwood Middle School!
We are thrilled to welcome YOU to another exciting year at Learwood! The start of each school year brings a special energy—meeting new students, reconnecting with familiar faces, and watching how much our 8th graders have grown in just a few short months, while also getting to know our new 7th graders.
Middle school is a unique and adventurous time in every student’s journey. It’s a stage where they discover more about themselves socially and emotionally, while also working toward academic success. At Learwood, our staff is committed to creating a supportive and engaging environment that blends middle-level philosophies with effective strategies. Our focus is on strengthening curriculum, differentiation, collaboration, and student growth. Most importantly, we strive to help every student become a confident communicator, creative thinker, thoughtful collaborator, and critical problem-solver.
To keep you connected and informed, we will share a monthly newsletter highlighting student celebrations, school events, and important updates from Learwood and Avon Lake City Schools. If you ever miss a newsletter, you can always find past editions under the Newsletter and More tab above.
We are looking forward to another fun, meaningful, and memorable school year together. Let’s make 2025–2026 our best year yet!
Go Shoremen and Shoregals!
Sincerely,
Dr. Nuggud
