News - Traffic at pick-up

Good-Afternoon,
Earlier today a meeting was held with members of the Avon Lake Police Department in order to find a way to make pick-up run smoothly, while ensuring the safety of all students and local residents. It was found that as traffic lines up down Redwood and wraps the corner onto Moorewood this creates a unsafe situation at times for motorist visual path of oncoming traffic. Therefore, effective immediately, we ask that you continue to line up in the same fashion, however, you will see cones (for now)placed that will mark where we need cars to remain behind until there is a space in front of the cone, for you to proceed forward. the cones will remain in place until we have assured everyone is familiar with the new pattern. We are attempting to keep the corner of Moorewood and Redwood free of cars to allow for room for those not in the car line to proceed through the intersection safely. Thank you to everyone for your continued patience as we work to find the best possible solution to this problem.
