Congratulations to Redwood Elementary School 4th grader, Addy Bryson, who was recently named a national finalist for the Mott Million Dollar Challenge for her creativity and innovation. Supported by funding from the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation, the national competition provides thousands of students from across the country with the opportunity to take on the role of an entrepreneur by pitching an original product that attempts to solve real-world problems.
Addy will join a select group of 2,300 first-round winners for the second-round for her innovative product, the Pool Planner, which helps students stay organized and ready for their next swimming event. Features include notifications for upcoming events including when to head towards the pool and reminders to bring their cap and goggles. Every Pool Planner comes with a free towel that is capable of being warmed and dried in only fifteen seconds with the simple push of a button on the product. This competition will take place June 14th-June 17th in Flint, Michigan, and in the months leading up to this, Mott Million Dollar Challenge will provide coaching and guidance to improve Addy's pitch and product even more! Congratulations Addy, and great job with your inventive idea!
