News - Redwood Spreads Kindness with Operation Smiles
Published on

Operation Secret Smiles is underway at Redwood Elementary as part of this quarter’s school-wide PBIS initiative. Paired classrooms used their creativity to decorate the door of their partner class with an assortment of themed designs, decorations, and positive, uplifting messages! In addition to the door decoration activity, each class will perform at least one act of kindness for the other room, such as writing personal notes of encouragement on a card, class whiteboard, or post it notes, cleaning up a classroom while the other class is at lunch or a specials class, and giving small gifts such as a lifesaver candy or pencil. At the end of the quarter, each paired class will meet at least once for a fun activity of the teacher’s choice, which can include a board game, craft, reading a book aloud together, watching a movie, and more. Thank you to the Redwood PBIS team and staff for providing creative and engaging opportunities for students to connect and show kindness to each other!
