Staff at the Avon Lake City Schools returned to an outstanding morning of school spirit, camaraderie, breakfast, and presentations at the annual convocation on Monday, August 18th in preparation for the start of the 2025-2026 school year. It's a whole new ball game! Superintendent Magyar used a powerful and personal presentation to remind staff members to encourage one another and to be helpful to those we serve throughout the year. She encouraged staff to reflect upon the most important people who have helped us all over the years. Special guest speaker and former ALCS Board of Education member Ron Jantz inspired staff in the audience with his energy, his passion for powerful photography, and dedication to this district, which served and educated his children. Significant moments during the presentation included a nod to those staff members with 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of respective service to the ALCS. Congratulations to those individuals achieving milestone years of service here! In all, staff returned in a fun and favorable environment in preparation for students' first day on Tuesday, August 19th!
