Each school year, the College Board celebrates the academic achievements of select high-performing, underrepresented groups of students by nationally recognizing them in a tangible way with the granting of National Awards. Please join us in congratulating Avon Lake High School Junior Nathan Owens, a 2024 recipient of the National Hispanic & Indigenous Recognition Award!
The College Board’s National Recognition Program showcases the strong academic achievement of its recipients, leading to successful and diverse college recruitment as well as expanded opportunities in terms of college financial aid. The five programs include the National African American Recognition Program, National First-Generation Recognition Program (new in 2024), National Hispanic Recognition Program, National Indigenous Recognition Program, and National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program. Recipients of the prestigious National Awards must demonstrate excellent academic standing and meet strict scoring criteria on national standardized tests such as the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 10, or AP Exams.
Congratulations to Nathan Owens on achieving this well-deserved national recognition for his phenomenal academic achievements!
