News - Learwood Volleyball Collects and Donates Items for Those in Need

The Middle School volleyball team made an impact on the community by raising and donating 375 pounds of food in recent weeks. The kind act of neighbor-caring-for-neighbor was evident as the Learwood team came together for this most worthy cause. The sizeable donation was personally delivered by the team to Community Resource Services, an organization committed to serving the residents of Avon and Avon Lake. As the team joyfully delivered the 375 pounds of food collected, they helped further the mission of CRS, which is to provide basic need-based assistance to families in the community. This selfless act embodies the legacy and heart of the Avon Lake City School District and its greater community. Thank you to everyone who supported this effort!
