I hope that everyone had an enjoyable break. I know the last few days prior to break did not go as planned, but the staff are ready and excited to welcome everyone back tomorrow.
This past week the district sent out information on the newest protocol for Avon Lake City Schools. This includes a mask policy for all staff and students in the district. Please ensure when your student leaves for school in the morning they have a mask with them.
The district has also made available, on the district website, the newest information from the Ohio Department of Health regarding the need to quarantine when contacting or being a close contact to an individual with Covid. As we continue to navigate through designated changes, we remind you that our number one goal is continuing in-person learning. Our greatest defense is doing everything we can to keep students and staff healthy. The parents of Redwood have done an amazing job of reporting illness and taking the extra steps to keep ill students home. I thank you in advance for your continued support in this, and remind you that students presenting with Covid like symptoms at school will be sent home and asked to remain home until symptom free for 24 hours. If at any time you have questions regarding the district's Covid protocol, please contact myself or the school nurse for further clarification.
The staff of Redwood have been busy preparing for all of the students return, and we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early tomorrow morning.
