News - Fantastic First Day

Good-Evening Redwood Families,

I wanted to thank all the Boys and Girls for a fantastic first day!  It was so nice to have everyone back in the building together.   I  just wanted to send out a couple of reminders for parents. 

Lunch

Lunch is free for everyone this year if your child wishes to get a school lunch they may do so at no charge to the family.  

With the warmer weather, many of the boys and girls are bringing water bottles to have in the classroom.  Please realize they are leaving this in the classroom when they go to recess and then lunch.  If the student is wishing to bring a water bottle from home for lunch, it would need to be a separate bottle  from their class water bottle as their  lunch boxes go to the cafeteria earlier in the day. 

 

Dismissal

Their was a little confusion regarding walkers at the end of the day.  Walkers should be exiting the building from the door closest to the playground.  If you are a parent who drives, parks, and walks to pick up your child, please make sure your student knows they are considered a walker, and should be exiting the doors closest to the playground.  ONLY students who are being picked up in the car line that passes the front of the building are considered car riders and should be exiting the front door.   I hope this clears things up and apologize for any confusion today.
