Good-Evening Redwood Families, Tomorrow is the first day of school for our 1st through 4th grade students. We are all very excited to welcome them back. Arrival Students may enter the building starting at 8:35. School begins at 8:50. Student will be allowed to enter the building through one of 3 doors. They may enter at door "A" the main front door of the building, door "B" the door closest to the playground and blacktop, or Door "E" closest to the parking lot. Students arriving early will line up outside until the 8:35 bells rings to allow them into the building. Dismissal We will begin dismissing students at 3:15. Students walking home will be the first students dismissed. Any student who is walking home, or whose parent has parked their car and walked over to meet them at the playground, will walk out of the building through either the "B" playground door or "D" back door closest to the eagles nest. Bus Students Bus students will be dismissed as the buses arrive
Car Rider Line If you are picking a student up in the car line PLEASE write your student's first and last name and grade on a piece of paper and display it in the window at dismissal time in order to make the process go faster for everyone. A student is considered a "car rider" only if they are being picked up by someone in the actual line that passes the front of the building. Children of parents who park their cars and walk over to pick them up are not considered car riders for the purpose of dismissal. All car riders will exit door "A" through the front of the building. For the safety of all students, and to ensure the line keeps moving, DO NOT get into the car line if you are waiting for a student who is attending an after school activity or who is a member of safety patrol. Please park your car to wait for them. The car line will remain single file and you will be asked to move out of the line.
Masks: At this time: · Recommend that students under the age of 12 and all other students and staff not vaccinated wear masks in our school building. · Required based on mandate, all students and staff wear masks while riding a school bus or district transportation. · Respect the fact that families, students and staff will be making different decisions regarding masking.
We are very excited to welcome our students back and look forward to seeing them all in the morning! Holli Weber Principal Redwood Elementary |
