News - Redwood Students Use Creativity and Teamwork for Tower Build

The Innovation classes at K-4 elementary buildings in the Avon Lake City Schools provide students with an engaging learning environment where they can develop their creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and other real-world skills. At Redwood Elementary, students recently drew inspiration from the iconic Eiffel Tower to construct their own towers using dry spaghetti noodles, string, and Play-Doh! Working in groups, students learned about relevant concepts such as weight, support, and balance as they constructed their unique towers. The experience required teamwork, problem-solving, and leadership skills as students used trial and error to identify the best way to keep their towers from completely collapsing. Congratulations to our Redwood students for demonstrating persistence, creativity, and collaboration!
