News - Naomi Morris Qualifies as National Merit Semi Finalist

On behalf of everyone in the Avon Lake City Schools community, please join the district in congratulating senior Naomi Morris, who recently qualified as a 2027 National Merit Semi-Finalist. In doing so, Naomi is among 16,000 students nationwide who qualify for such status by fulfilling the rigorous set of requirements, and advances to compete for approximately 6,700 National Merit Scholarships to be offered in the spring. Attaining such meritorious status demonstrates Naomi’s dedication to academic excellence, talent, and aptitude. The Avon Lake City Schools community congratulates Naomi, and wishes her the very best of success in advancing to the Finalist round of competition.
