As an easy and fun way to celebrate the start of the 2026-2027 school year, Avon Lake City Schools are excited to provide First Day of School signs for district families. Students in grades 1-12 will officially begin on Tuesday, August 18th, while Kindergarten and PreK students will start classes on Thursday, August 20th. Capture the excitement of the first day of school with three simple steps: Print, Snap, and Share! To start, download and print the First Day of School sign for your student’s building and grade level below. Snap a picture of your student holding their sign and then share on your favorite social media app. Parents and guardians can use the hashtags #Shoremen #Shoregals, and tag the district, which can be found on Facebook (@avonlakecityschools), as well as on X (@avonlakeschools) and Instagram (@avonlakeschools).
