Dear Avon Lake Community,
This communication is to inform you that Avon Lake City School District will be lifting the PK-12 student mask requirement in our school buildings at the close of school on Friday, January 28, 2022.
After several weeks of high numbers, our local data continues to be on a downward trend. The changes in guidelines from Lorain County Public Health have allowed us to keep more staff and students in school. We will continue to closely monitor these guidelines and will make adjustments accordingly if needed. Our COVID-19 Dashboard is located on our website, and is updated daily as needed.
We continue to focus on keeping our students in school through in-person learning. We appreciate all of your patience and understanding as we navigate this ever-changing situation. Working together we will continue to offer the educational opportunities that students need for success.
Bob Scott, Superintendent
