Learwood News - Learwood Students Explore Roman Architecture
Published on
Seventh grade students in Mrs. Castrilla’s World History social studies classes at Learwood Middle School recently engaged in a creative, hands-on exploration of Ancient Rome. During the learning unit, students researched important structures from the pivotal era of world history and constructed models using a variety of household materials. On Friday, December 20th, the students proudly presented their model structures to fellow students and staff in the school library. The list of featured Ancient Roman structures included forts, bathhouses, the Circus Maximus, a site famous for chariot-racing, gladiator contests, and other events, and the Roman Forum. Congratulations to all participating seventh grade students for their superb work and for demonstrating creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking skills!
