AP Economics

Course Overview:

This course is equivalent to introductory college-level macroeconomics and microeconomics courses. Throughout the course, students will study the principles of Economics that apply to the functions of decision makers, both consumers and producers, within the economic system. In the first half of the course, areas of concentration will include the national economy, fiscal (government) policy and its effects, monetary (banks) policies and their effects, and international trade. The second half of the course will transition to the roles of consumers, businesses, and the government within our economy and the different types of markets in which businesses compete.
