Congratulations to the students and staff of Avon Lake High School for being named one of the top 1,500 high schools in the country by Newsweek magazine!  Public schools were ranked according to a ratio devised by Jay Mathews, author, education reporter and online columnist.  The top 1,500 high schools represent the top 6% of all high schools in the country.  Avon Lake High School was one of 26 high schools in the state of Ohio, out of over 1,000 Ohio high schools, to receive this award.  Please click here to be directed to the website of Newsweek magazine to read more about this prestigious award!
