


This prestigious society is an academic honor group established by the American Association of Teachers of French to honor the academic achievement of French language scholars and promote the study of the francophone culture. The members of the ALHS French National Honor Society are selected from those high school students who have successfully completed the first semester of French II or French II Honors and are currently enrolled in a French class. Potential SHF members must have minimum 93% cumulative average in all French courses taken in addition to an 83% cumulative average in all other non-French high school courses. Members must commit to community service, fund raising for SHF travel scholarships and community groups in need, demonstrate exemplary character and be willing to promote French language and culture in the community and beyond.
