Spelling Lists
Every Friday students receive the next week’s list of words. On Monday there will be a pretest over those words. If a student earns a 100% on the test, he/she will receive a challenge list for the week. The challenge list is a list of 6-8 words from our curriculum. We will take our final test on Thursday. Challenge List students will earn extra points for the number of challenge words correct and are not penalized for misspelled words.
Once in awhile students will receive “special” spelling lists. These lists will be used when we read a story not from our Scholastic Literacy Place books. Please pay attention to the spelling lists sent home on Friday for the following week.
